Hanson Crossborder Tax Professional Corporation (HCBT) is a private tax advisory company, which was founded by Elena Hanson in 2012. We have an exclusive focus on US and Canadian cross border tax advisory and compliance matters.
The team of professionals assist US, Canadian and international private clients, businesses and the institutions that service them on cross-border taxation issues, investment structuring, and trust and estate planning. The team works with Canadian and non-US resident clients and entities on structuring US inbound investments to minimize federal and state income tax exposure. They also consult with US clients on tax aspects of foreign investments, including anti-deferral rules, entity classification issues and reporting requirements for foreign entities and trusts.
